The Edge is in the Electronics
We don’t just push boxes. We engineer tactical advantages for serious anglers.
Sonar Catch Gear was launched to bridge a critical gap in the marine outfitting industry. We realized that outfitting a vessel with the tactical gear necessary to compete at a high level—or simply to enjoy a successful weekend on the water with a family of four—was becoming prohibitively expensive due to the rapid evolution of live sonar networks.
Anglers were forced to choose between paying absolute top dollar for the latest releases or taking massive risks buying unverified used gear from random forum marketplaces.
We built Sonar Catch Gear to be the premier alternative: a trusted hub where you can buy the industry’s newest chartplotters, or opt for rigorously vetted, certified pre-owned systems that deliver the exact same on-the-water performance for a fraction of the cost.
Our Vetting Process
Every piece of used technology that hits our deck undergoes a strict diagnostic protocol before it is cleared for resale.
We inspect all gimbal brackets, transducer cables, and display screens for micro-fractures, water intrusion, or compromised pins. If the hardware isn’t structurally sound, it doesn’t make the cut.
Every chartplotter and sonar module is powered up, factory reset, and updated to the latest stable firmware. We test touchscreen responsiveness, networking ports, and internal GPS accuracy.
Transparency is our mandate. Every pre-owned unit is assigned a strict condition grade. You will always see high-resolution photos of the exact unit you are purchasing, with zero surprises upon delivery.
Whether you are replacing a single transducer or building a fully integrated NMEA 2000 network from the hull up, our expertise spans the industry’s most critical entities:
