Return and Refund Policy
Sonar Catch Gear stands behind the quality of both our brand-new releases and our rigorously vetted certified pre-owned inventory. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
Return Window
You have 30 calendar days to return an eligible item from the date you received it. To initiate a return, you must contact our support team to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns received without an RMA will be rejected.
Condition Requirements & Restocking Fees
- Brand New Gear: Must be returned in its original, unopened, and uninstalled condition. Any new units that have been powered on, registered with the manufacturer, or mounted will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee, as they can no longer be sold as new.
- Certified Pre-Owned Gear: Must be returned in the exact condition it was received, with all original accessories, transducer cables, and gimbal brackets included. Our technicians will cross-reference the returned unit against our initial diagnostic grading report.
Non-Returnable Items
Gift cards, downloadable software or map cards (e.g., C-MAP, Navionics) that have been opened, and custom-ordered rigging components are strictly non-returnable.
Refund Process
Once we receive your item, our marine technicians will inspect it and notify you on the status of your refund. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. You will receive the credit within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.
Shipping Costs for Returns
You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item unless the return is due to an error on our part. Shipping costs are non-refundable. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for high-value sonar returns.
